Life is difficult, and in order to live day by day in a godly manner it is important to have a clear vision of our Hope. This teaching points out various aspects of the Hope of Israel as it is portrayed in the Old Testament and Gospels. As the time got closer to Christ’s coming, information about him and the deliverance he would bring became clearer and more specific.

The First and Greatest Commandment

Offended

Today more and more people are feeling offended by the thoughts and actions of others. The spirit of offense is behind much of this tension as it engenders frustration, resentment, anger, and bitterness between people. The result is an increasing loss of compassion, coldness, and even hatred. This teaching helps the believer to explore godly solutions to free themselves from the enemy’s trap of being “offended.”  Verses: Prov. 18:19; 2 Cor. 4:3-4; Eph 4:26-27, 31; Prov. 19:11; 22:24; 29:22; 30:33; Col. 3:8; 2 Tim. 2:23-26; Matt. 15:12-14   Teacher: Dan Gallagher  ...

Living Wisely

In some Christian circles, “wisdom” has been supplanted by a focus on “faith” with the assumption being that if we can get what we want by “faith“, then wisdom is not needed. Both faith and wisdom are important, and we need to understand both and how they work together. Living wisely is not easy to do but we must take the time and be disciplined to think through our decisions.  Verses:  Gal. 6:7; 2 Cor. 5:7; Prov. 1:2, 7; 3:5, 13; 4:5, 7; 6:1-7; 14:8; 28:19; 23:29-30; 29:11; James 2:5; 1 Cor. 12:9; John 12:49; 14:31; 1 Kings 18:36; Luke 1:17; 2:40; 14:28; Col. 3:16; Eccles. 7:18; Eph. 4:29, 32; Heb. 12:15; 2 Cor. 6:15  Teacher: John Schoenheit  ...
