Show Notes

Jesus' words from the cross, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani,” have confused Bible students for years. Many think that Jesus either was, or thought he was, forsaken by God. In this teaching we learn that Jesus Christ was reciting part of Psalm 22, trying to jar people into understanding that prophecy was being fulfilled before their eyes.

Revisiting Administrations: Understanding Dispensationalism

Understanding the dispensations, or administrations, in the Bible is essential to understanding the Bible itself. God has always related to the world as His household, and just as in any household, from time to time the rules change. If we understand the administrations, we can better understand God’s changing of the rules, which ones to obey and which have been made obsolete by newer rules.  Verses: Eph. 3:2, 9; Rev. 19:11; 20:4; Heb. 10:4; Rom. 10:9; 15:4; 1 Cor. 1:2; 7:2; 2 Tim. 3:16; Gen. 1:26; 9:3; 17:12, 14; Gal. 5:2; 2 Cor. 9:7; Mark 7:18-19; 1 Tim. 4:3; Matt. 6:5-7; Exod. 21:33-34; 22:1-5; Deut. 19:16-20;  Teacher: John Schoenheit  ...

Jesus – The Red Thread

Throughout Scripture, we are presented with many accounts of people who walked bravely down the path of God’s will that was laid out before them. Each one points toward a bigger picture, Jesus Christ, and together they form the “red thread” of scripture. This teaching explores the source of bravery in several people of the Bible, illustrating how these accounts parallel and point toward the coming Savior.   Verses: Deut. 18:15-16; Num. 13:30-33; 14:1-16; 1 Sam. 17:1-37; Eph. 1:1-23  Teacher: Janet Speakes   ...
