Is the End Really Near? Signs of the End Times

“Is the end really near?” Are the various social, political, financial, and even geological upheavals that seem to be taking place throughout the world signs of the “end times?”  Should Christians even be observing “signs of the seasons” in the first place?  Being aware of “end-time signs” like “birth pains” can heighten our awareness of the coming events and show the urgency of spreading the message about Jesus Christ.
